Kindra Anne Ruocco graduated with a BA in Communications from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA, in 1986. She began her film career as a production assistant on the cult hit, "Pump Up the Volume," starring Christian Slater, and has since worked her way up the corporate ladder as an assistant to production heads for such companies as Showtime Networks, and Viacom. Ruocco's professional resume also includes the expansion and co-management of Sceneries Entertainment, an independent production / distribution company since 1992, for which she produced her first feature in 1996, entitled, "St. Patrick's Day," starring Piper Laurie. The film went on to play at various film festivals around the country, and received a theatrical release in 1999, as well as a video and DVD release in 2000.

Currently, Ruocco is the Head of Operations and Project Assessment for Cinema Libre Studio, a new studio venture in Canoga Park, CA, specifically aimed at working with and co-financing projects by independent filmmakers.

"Silence is Deadly - Living with Hepatitis C" is Ruocco's first documentary project for her company, "In Your Face Productions". She also volunteers her time counseling newly diagnosed Hepatitis C patients. Ruocco herself has been living with Hepatitis C for more than 30 years.

Alberto Gomes was born in Caracas, Venezuela and has worked as an independent film editor since 1994. In 1998, Gomes wrote, directed and produced his first documentary entitled "Watching Hilda Vera," based on the life and career of the most revered actress in Venezuelan cinema. In 2000, Gomes received a Master's Degree in Film Editing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, California. Since then, he has won a scriptwriting competition in Venezuela, which earned him $250,000 to co-write and co-produce his next feature, "The Color of Fame," which he also edited. Currently, the film is in post-production.

"Silence is Deadly - Living with Hepatitis C" is Gomes' second documentary project, but his first in the United States. He has now begun work on his third documentary, entitled "Hollywood Shuttle."
